Support the Science Laboratory Upgrade at Mfantsipim School
We are raising funds to transform the science laboratories at Mfantsipim into centres of excellence and innovation. Our immediate focus is to acquire 75 additional microscopes, bringing the total to 100 across the senior and junior labs.
Our broader target is to raise £20,000 as part of Phase 1 of a larger lab enhancement plan—laying the groundwork for a state-of-the-art Science and STEM Laboratory.
So far, £7,000 has been raised in 2024, and we invite your support to help us bridge the gap.
🎯 Why This Matters
- To equip students for success in WASSCE and future academic paths.
- To offer practical, hands-on learning experiences in modern lab settings.
- To promote inter-school collaboration by sharing lab resources with other institutions.
- To protect the investment in science equipment by implementing robust security and monitoring solutions.
- To enhance teaching and demonstration through audiovisual technology.
🧪 Our Progress So Far
- In 2016, Tullow Oil supported key infrastructure upgrades.
- In August 2023, as part of Phase 1 of our Science Lab transformation, Mfantsipim Foundation donated 26 microscopes and other equipment valued at up to £6,000.
- According to both the Headmaster and the Head of Science, these contributions played a role in Mfantsipim winning the National Science and Maths Quiz last year.
- February 2025, five large television screens were shipped to support audiovisual learning as part of the lab transformation.
